Secretary Co-operatives Punjab Dr Amir Ahmad directed Punjab Provincial Co-operative Bank Ltd management to accelerate the recovery of Bank's non-performing loans from the defaulters, PPCBL spokesman Rana Irshad Ali told Business Recorder here on Wednesday. He said the Bank officers have been advised to make at least 15 percent more recoveries of the defaulted loans till 31st December 2012.

The Bank is also advancing agriculture loans worth Rs 2.3 billion for sowing, growing and maturing the Rabi crops including staple food wheat crop. The Secretary Co-operatives warned that action would be taken against those officials who failed to meet the target of bad loans recovery.
